Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unlike traditional practices, we intentionally see fewer patients daily to ensure you have ample time with the doctor. Our schedule is designed to minimize your waiting time, allowing you to return to work, your family, and your life as soon as possible.

  • If you are paying cash for your medical care (high-deductible insurance plans, self-funded plans, health-sharing plans, or no insurance), our upfront and transparent pricing lets you know the "all-in, all-done" price before you receive care. This eliminates the stress and cost of surprise bills received after treatment.

  • If you have low co-pays, have met your deductible or max out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. have no additional costs under your insurance plan), or are very happy with your current eye care provider, this practice may not be the best fit for you.

However, if you are paying more for care at your current practice than our posted prices or are seeking an alternative, we would love the opportunity to care for you.

  • We do not participate in any insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. Our patients pay directly for all clinical and surgical care they receive. If your medical insurance includes out-of-network benefits, we are happy to provide a detailed statement ("superbill") that you can use to file a reimbursement claim for your treatment here.

Note: Medicaid and Medicare will not reimburse you for any services received at our practice.

  • Your surgical costs consist of three parts: facility fee, anesthesia fee, and surgeon's fee. PureSight Surgical does not participate in any insurance plans, so surgeon’s fees are paid directly to our practice. Patients can use their insurance for the facility and anesthesia fees.

For patients without insurance, those with self-funded plans, or those who prefer to pay directly for their surgery, we offer bundled pricing with the surgery center. This allows you to know the total cost before your procedure.

Note: The surgeon's fee is often 10-20% of the total cost of surgery, so patients with insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, or private plans) can still cover the majority of the costs through insurance if they choose to do so.

  • Dr. Stanley is opted out of Medicaid and Medicare programs. You will not be able to submit or receive reimbursement from Medicaid or Medicare for services provided at PureSight Surgical.

  • Dr. Stanley advocates for affordable healthcare and transparent pricing. Our direct care model ensures access to expert ophthalmology care for everyone, regardless of insurance status. You will never receive a surprise bill, and we believe our quality and pricing are unmatched among other ophthalmology practices for patients without insurance.
